I have this love/hate relationship with Nigerian movies.

Before it was purely dislike on my side owning to the fact that Nigerian movies always had a particular narrative.

I asked my friends to tell me one word that came to their mind on hearing Nigerian movies. These are some of their replies;

Nigeria movies that I had watched were all so predictable or downright annoying.

You’re truly 100% Nigerian and part of the older generation of young adults if when growing up, your house was full of rented Nigerian movies that had names which you could guess immediately the whole plot of the movie.

Those days you couldn’t even find Nigerian movies on the net.

I remember in my second year in college, my former roommate who was a movie freak like me would always get movies and we’d watch together.

Sometimes when we decide to give Nigerian movies a chance we would always get frustrated after watching it due to unrealistic or unreasonable plots that didn’t have any meaning.

It got to one point where I didn’t even bother watching again.

But recently there has been massive change in the Nigerian movie industry and I couldn’t stay away. Now there are so many Nigerian movies to watch that’ll keep you entertained .

Due to the massive improvements, this had led me to go far and beyond to compile Nigerian movies from different genres to give you the best of Nigerian movies that’ll be sure to keep you entertained.


Almost all the movie compiled was released on 2019 but till now they are still the best of Nigerian movies 2020.
